Students at Grand Avenue recently had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of future career paths during the school’s exciting Career Day event. Professionals from many different fields volunteered their time to speak with students about their jobs, educational journeys, and the importance of following their passions.
Representatives from careers in medicine, law enforcement, business, education, finance, and public service shared valuable insight and real-world experiences. Presenters included a surgical assistant, internal medicine physician, registered nurse, medical school student, lawyer, police officer, military representative, photographer, entrepreneur, finance professional, and the executive director of admissions.
Students also learned about careers focused on helping others, including social work, intake case management, and youth program leadership. The CEO of a youth program organization spoke about empowering young people and creating opportunities for future success.
Local business owner of Swirl Bliss Frozen Yogurt shared the experience of running a successful business and encouraged students to dream big and work hard toward their goals.
Throughout the morning, students asked thoughtful questions and engaged in meaningful conversations with the presenters. Career Day provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the many paths available to them and helped inspire future goals and ambitions.
Grand Avenue extends a sincere thank you to all of the professionals who dedicated their time to making Career Day a memorable and impactful experience for students.
