Join us for Uniondale’s District-Wide Young Author’s Celebration on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:00 PM in the UHS Little Theater as we celebrate the incredible voices and talents of our student and staff writers across the district!
All students and families are welcome. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Kerwen and Dashawn were recently recognized by Nassau BOCES for passing their exams and officially receiving their New York State Barbering Licenses!
This incredible milestone is a perfect testament to the importance of providing diverse career and technical education (CTE) pathways. When we equip students with hands-on skills and real-world opportunities, there is no limit to what they can achieve straight out of high school.
Join us in celebrating Kerwen and Dashawn for their hard work, hustle, and sharp skills. We can’t wait to see where their talent takes them next!

Due to technical difficulties with the state testing vendor, students have experienced issues logging into today's assessments. As a result, testing has been paused for the remainder of the day and will resume tomorrow. We appreciate your patience and understanding as the state works to resolve these issues.
Sincerely,
Dr. Monique Darrisaw-Akil
Superintendent

Last week, the students of the Project Excel afterschool program were treated to an incredible Spring Egg Hunt, hosted by our very own Uniondale High School Student Council!
This wonderful event was the brainchild of Shelcy Supre, who took the lead on every detail—from initial planning and communicating with Mr. Bracht and Dr. Tavares to coordinating a dedicated team of volunteers to pack and hide hundreds of eggs.
The result? Pure joy and smiles all around!
A massive thank you to Shelcy and all the Student Council members who stayed well after the school bell rang to create such a magical experience for the Walnut Street students. Your leadership and community spirit truly shine! ✨
